About Town: Children's Art Museum

At the recommendation of Griffin's friend Olivia, we visited the Children's Museum of the Arts in Soho today. Holy cow, it's my new favorite place. I mean Griffin's new favorite place. If he were a bit older, we could have spent the whole day exploring & participating. Because he doesn't yet understand stop motion videos, and certainly doesn't understand that the bunch of balloons in the corner are actually part of another child's sculpture, we spent most of the time in the Wee Arts Room for 1 to 5 year olds. It's a spacious room with a ton of natural light, lots of tables set up for specific crafts or projects, with an attentive and engaging staff. We were in the mood to try it all, table-hopping & sampling all the options: play-doh, magnets, markers, chalk, cray pas, flubber (remember that stuff?), legos. It was so much fun. I can't wait to go back. I mean Griffin can't wait to go back.

I highly recommend a visit:
