My Style, According to Ikea

We're signing the lease on our new commercial space today - woo hoo! Our new space is much larger than our current one and is basically one big rectangle, so the potential is huge. I've been scouring the web for office layouts and furniture (must get rid of the flourescent lights!) when I came across this Ikea Business Stylefinder. Ikea tells me I'm "Country Original" and even breaks down my style as: 0% Modern, 20% Scandinavian and 80% Country. I guess that's about right. If anyone comes across any great office/working studio layouts - please pass them along! I'm struggling, here.

'Tis the Season

Our three new holiday greeting cards are now online and will be in stores very soon! All three are letterpressed on 100% recycled paper - which I chose for its wintery quality. At least to me.

The three designs are based on my (quite literal) view of the holidays and the holiday season. The Tree Greeting is very much early winter to me - when the light fades on the land and the sky is still quite bright, but has faded in color to a pale pale blue. This is also very Maine Winter to me - it makes me want to grab my blanket & curl up! The other two are inspired by holiday-dressed windows. Specifically, the view from the inside - the ornaments and tree trimmings dangling from window frames - looking out onto snowy-scapes. I specifically chose the 100% recycled paper for the flecked look, which is so snowy to me.

Also - I just added an option to buy the three of these greetings online as a multi-pack at a 10% discount off the retail price of three. Happy Holiday card shopping!

My one year old computer crashed yesterday and is now in the hands of Tekserve. This happened to me last year on my laptop - but a pretty much brand new computer?? Oh, the pain of a lesson learned. Back up your computer asap, people.

IM in Training: Inspiration

I was so touched when a friend sent me this book last week as a little piece of encouragement for the quickly approaching race. I got through a 4 hour bike ride this weekend with no knee pain and had these little words in my head the whole time: I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. I'll be chanting this over & over on November 23 until I get over that finish line! Thank you, L.
